Until recently, Genoa lacked a solid system for tracking assets and staying on top of maintenance. Data was stored on paper, which was difficult to read and hard to access. As a result, staff lost time to duplicate entry, and equipment sometimes had shortened lifespans due to missed ideal preventative maintenance. Now, through their partnership with Waterly and overall commitment to asset management, Genoa uses Waterly Assets and Rounds to leverage data and reports that keep systems running smoothly and more efficiently.

The construction of a temporary plant propelled the staff to think about other improvements they could make along the way to help them manage all of their vertical assets.  The community had already invested in GIS and some asset management for their horizontal (distribution and collection) assets but for the plants, they decided that it was time to try to get away from pencil and paper and move towards more automated solutions to manage their assets and data.  They didn’t feel that their GIS or existing asset management software was suitable for their “inside-the-fence” assets.

Data collection and reporting challenges across SLOC water and wastewater were revealing data silos between SCADA, lab, and operators, making it increasingly difficult to assess the relevance and accuracy of the data shown. The County turned to Waterly on their quest to “break barriers between operations and engineering to improve efficiencies.”

Dedicated water and wastewater supervisors at the Village of Mukwonago were noticing inconsistencies with data input, impacting their ability to adequately respond to anomalies /irregularities ahead of time. Waterly supported their and their staff’s onramp towards digitalization by offering an affordable and user-friendly software that works with them, at their pace, to best fit their needs and priorities.

The Illinois State Water Survey is the central repository for water supply and demand information critical to Illinois residents. From 1895-present, data reporting evolved from mailed or phones in reports every ten years, to annual reports, and recently towards digital, more frequent data collection. Through a public-private partnership with founding WaterClick partner Waterly, the digitization of groundwater data is improving the visibility of more timely groundwater usage for everyone’s benefit.

Fountain Hills Sanitary District was in a challenging position with an ineffective system of manually collecting and entering data into an outdated series of spreadsheets. Founding WaterClick partner Waterly delivered an affordable, efficient, centralized data platform that saved staff time and effort, resulting in secure data, simpler regulatory reporting and overall peace of mind for $4,000/year.
